# Studio agent skills

Studio skills are optional workflows for connected AI assistants. The Studio MCP connector supplies account access and actions; a skill guides the assistant through a task. Installing a skill does not add tools or permissions to the connector. [Connect Studio](https://studio.memes.media/connect) first.

Download the [complete Claude Code plugin](skills/studio-plugin.zip), unzip it, and run `claude --plugin-dir /absolute/path/to/unzipped-folder`. Authenticate the bundled Studio MCP connection when prompted. The plugin exposes namespaced commands such as `/studio:storyboard`. For Claude web, download an individual skill ZIP below and upload it through Customize → Skills; the web interface may show skills in its Skills UI instead of as literal slash commands. Installing a skill individually in Claude Code gives it a bare name such as `/storyboard`. Follow a command with your brief, for example: `/studio:storyboard Make a three-panel ad for my coffee shop`. You can also make the same request in plain language through MCP without installing skills.

Skills do not add tools or permissions; final assembly and playback depend on the available editor and audio tools. ## Important limits

- A slash command is an installed skill, not an MCP tool. The MCP connector remains usable without skills.
- Generation uses your Studio plan and credits. The assistant should check usage and report actual job status rather than treat a queued request as finished.
- Strategy, ROI, customer, or competitor claims require real input data or sources. A skill must label assumptions and cannot invent results.
- A skill does not control Blender, Resolve, or another local creative app unless that app is separately connected and its editable project files are available.
